08. Indulgence ~La via piu' facile~ What is justice
When the fireworks show ends Romeo and Juliet slowly put some distance between themselves. Juliet; still troubled with knowing everything; tells Romeo that they're love is one that can never be and Romeo surprises her by asking if he's because the Montague's son and she is the Capulet's daughter. When Juliet says yes, Romeo tells her that to him she is simply Juliet. But Juliet is reluctant to accept things so easily; she gives Romeo the handkerchief she made for him at the same time that she tells him not to misunderstand as a sign of affection when her face reveals her true feelings; then she leaves with a goodbye and barely stops when Romeo calls her after her.
The next day while the Friar plays nice with the townspeople, Tybalt is paying off a guard to get information on how he has been betraying said townspeople. Meanwhile Juliet is training with Antonio a little angrily which worries Cordelia, but Juliet refuses to admit its because of Romeo. Somewhere else Curio and Francisco are having a discussion since it's been deciding (or more forced) that Benvolio will stay with Curio since he can't stay with his parents. But later Francisco's reveals that his motive's for doing so are somewhat darker since he wants Benvolio to become friendly with them (or at least with Curio) in case later on they can use it to their advantage.
At the Montague palace, Romeo finds himself once again on the wrong side of his father's anger for missing his date with Hermione. To cover it up he lies and says he took Cielo for a flight, and after listening to the excuse Montague orders Cielo to be disposed of, but quickly Hermione steps into the room and pleads to Montague to spare Cielo since she has dreamt of riding him. Montague reluctantly agrees and Romeo takes her hand ad they both leave his father's presence. Hermione tesl Romeo she doesn't' mind he missed their date since she assumed he was meeting Benvolio, but Romeo decides to finally be honest with her and shows her the handkerchief Juliet made for him and tells her he loves someone else. Hermione leaves crying and romeo returns to his room (but not before being approached by Mercutio on the way) and finds a letter from Benvolio.
Romeo meets a disguised Benvolio in the town where he is told what happened after Benvolio's family was banished and how Montague tried to murder them. Benvolio begs Romeo not to do anything about it, and to wait when he becomes duke. On another part of town Juliet encounters Tybalt and he takes her along and shows her places where people clearly hate the Montague regime. Tybalt teases Juliet to admit she hates Montague to, but she reaffirms its not about hate, but before she can finish he tells her he hates Montague, but doesn't reveal why. Later he shows her the Friar taking a bribe from Cerimon, and reveals to her that it was because of him that Lancelot was first arrested. Juliet can't contain her anger and confronts the Friar with intend to kill him, but in the end is unable to do it. When she walks away the Friar pulls out a dagger, but before he can cause Juliet harm Tybalt appears and kills him. Juliet can contain here tears afterwards saying over and over that she can't kill, Tybalt approaches her and pulls her into his arms letting her sob when at the same time Romeo flies by and sees them.
